Balearic Archive

I collect and play records that are featured or inspired by the Second Summer of Love on Ibiza – these tracks, largely from the mid ‘80s to the mid ‘90s, reflect the sounds of the mythic Mediterranean island that fueled all-night dance parties and laid-back chill-out sessions at sunset. The Balearic Archive maintains the eclectic musical selection that is an island trademark. I’m inspired by the DJs who pioneered this approach to music, culture, and the spirit of musical liberation, from laid-back venues like Café Del Mar to the famed party destination Amnesia. I also play music by new producers who summon that spirit of Ibiza.

Balearic is not a genre, it is a state of mind.
